Research associate (doctoral student)
is to occupy. The position is limited to three years with the option of an extension.
Within the framework of a new research project, the holder of the position will develop and apply mathematical models for the calculation of compressible and multi-phase flows. The developments shall be based on OpenFOAM. The background is the development of low emission combustion engines for naval applications.
An above-average degree in engineering (mechanical engineering, process engineering or similar) or physics is required. In addition to a very good knowledge of German, a good command of the English language is desirable. Solid knowledge of fluid mechanics and very good skills in numerical mathematics are required. Ideally you have experience in the use and programming of OpenFOAM. You should be interested in working independently and goal-oriented in an interdisciplinary team. Your responsibilities also include the supervision of diploma and bachelor/master theses.
Besides working on an exciting scientific topic, we offer excellent working and training conditions. The possibility of a doctorate is given.
