The aim of the internship is an industrial internship. The aim of the internship is to acquire basic operational knowledge and skills and to become familiar with professional tasks and working methods in different areas.
An internship is required in some degree courses in the natural sciences, engineering and economics and is intended to supplement your studies. You can find precise information on how many weeks of work placement are required in which degree program in the implementation regulations for the respective degree programs (see the "Legal bases" boxes on the degree program profile pages). For some degree programs, part of the internship must be completed before the start of the degree program. You can also find further information on this in the implementation regulations for the individual degree programs.
Information on the subject of "internships" as such and the link to the internship regulations and internship guidelines of Clausthal University of Technology can be found on the pages of the Internship Office. There you will also find a detailed list of how many weeks of internship are required for each degree program.
