The student registration procedure for health insurance companies from 2022
From 01.01.2022, data transfer between universities and health insurance companies must take place exclusively electronically in both directions. This electronic procedure replaces the previous paper procedure and may cause a delay in reporting. Within the student notification procedure (SMV), notifiable data is exchanged between universities and health insurance companies: the universities send information on the start and end of the insured students' studies to the health insurance companies. The health insurance companies report to the university, for example, the insurance status, changes of health insurance company and information on outstanding health insurance contributions.
Confirmation of insurance status (compulsorily insured or exempt) is a prerequisite for enrollment at Clausthal University of Technology. Please contact your health insurance company during the online enrollment process and enter the sender number of TU Clausthal H0000873. The health insurance company will then send us the required notification.
6. wait for confirmation from TU Clausthal
You will receive confirmation that your application has been successful. While you wait, you can already register for a preliminary course, think about applying for BaföG and start looking for accommodation.
7. enrollment & start of studies
You will receive further information about your studies at Clausthal University of Technology with your letter of admission. If you would like to accept your study place, please transfer the semester fee specified in the letter of admission and, if necessary, submit the documents specified in the letter. Once these documents have been submitted and the semester fee has been transferred, you will be enrolled and can now safely de-register from your previous university if you change universities.
