The "university surrounded by nature"

Clausthal University of Technology offers a unique and international atmosphere. Surrounded by expansive nature, students and scientists learn and research closely together. Student satisfaction and the quality of Clausthal's education are regularly reflected in good grades in university rankings.

With its excellent study conditions, Clausthal University of Technology stands out from the crowd of German universities. Thanks to the manageable size of the university, there is a very personal relationship between students and teachers - the best conditions for successful studies.

Study when and where you want

Many lectures at Clausthal University of Technology are available as videos on the homepage. This allows students to keep up with their studies on their smartphone or laptop, regardless of time and place. Wi-Fi is not only available on campus; thanks to the connection to the "eduroam" network, Internet access is also available free of charge at many locations in Germany and worldwide.

If you have a private room, you can use a DSL connection to establish a fast connection to the TU via the academic network and also gain access to internal information in the university network via VPN. There are also many networked computer workstations in the university's public pools, which are often equipped with specialist software.

This network infrastructure forms the basis for IT support in studies and teaching. You can use learning materials, research on the internet and in the library, compile timetables from the electronic course catalog, register for examinations and communicate with lecturers and working groups around the clock, wherever you are.

When knowledge is required ...

The Clausthal University Library (Leibnizstraße 2) provides you with literature for your studies in both printed and electronic form. The focus is on natural sciences, technology, computer science, mathematics and business studies. Subject-specific databases are also available, as is the Citavi reference management program.

If you have any questions about literature research, the University Library team will be happy to help you! Or you can attend one of the regularly offered research introductions.

In recent years, the University Library has developed into a lively place of learning with many group and individual workstations. Most of them are equipped with power sockets so that you can work on the Internet with your laptop. Printers, scanners and photocopiers are available in the work areas.

There is also a kiosk on the first floor where you can get snacks and drinks in the afternoons, evenings and at weekends!
