An ECTS grading table provides information on the distribution of the overall grades achieved in a specific degree program at Clausthal University of Technology.
The ECTS grading tables are compiled on December 15 of each year for all Bachelor's and Master's graduates from November 1 of the previous year to October 31 of the current year. The date of the last examination is decisive for the allocation. The graduates of a degree program from the previous three academic years are used as a comparison group. Only graduates whose examination results have been received in full by the Examinations Office by December 14 at the latest can be included in the comparison group. The ECTS grading tables are published online shortly after they are created (usually within 2-3 working days).
Important notes!
- The ECTS grading tables will be created for the first time for Bachelor's and Master's graduates who obtained their degree in winter semester 14/15 or summer semester 15 (reference period of the comparison group: 01.11.2012 - 31.10.2015). It is not possible to create a ranking for periods prior to this.
- The creation of an ECTS grading table is excluded if the number of graduates of a degree program in the reference period under consideration is less than 30 (see § 21 para. 4 APO)! If you are unable to retrieve an ECTS grading table for your degree program (graduates from winter semester 14/15, see above), the reason for this will be an insufficient number of graduates in the respective reference period.
- In both cases, please refrain from contacting the Examinations Office!
The ECTS grading table replaces the relative "ECTS grade" A to E recommended by the EU as part of the study reform. The ECTS grading tables at Clausthal University of Technology are drawn up in accordance with the ECTS Users' Guide.
