University admission

To study for a Bachelor's degree at Clausthal University of Technology, you need a general university entrance qualification. This is typically the Abitur, but according to the 2010 amendment to the NHG, it is not only possible to study with the Abitur .

In addition to the Abitur, the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act also recognizes several other forms of higher education entrance qualification, e.g. a subject-specific Fachabitur, a degree from a university of applied sciences or a qualification as a master craftsman or technician can also entitle you to study at a university. Please note that for some degree courses you must complete an internship before starting the course.

No admission restrictions for Bachelor's degree programs

There are currently no admission restrictions for the Bachelor's degree programs at Clausthal University of Technology, i.e. no numerus clausus or similar. The application for a study place is made directly to TU Clausthal, there is no allocation of study places via a central allocation office. If you have a university entrance qualification, sending a complete application on time will automatically lead to admission.

Master programs

The information on this page refers to the Bachelor's degree programs offered at Clausthal University of Technology. In order to study a Master's degree program, you must have a Bachelor's degree and, if applicable, meet further admission criteria that are specified for the respective Master's degree program.
