The Institute for German and International Mining and Energy Law at Clausthal University of Technology is looking for a:n
Research Assistant (m/f/d)
(pay grade 13 TV-L)
with 50% of the regular weekly working hours, limited to 3 years. An extension of the contract period is possible.
There is the possibility of a doctorate at the Faculty of Law of the University of Göttingen. Our institute library with over 15,000 volumes is also available for this purpose. TU Clausthal wants to contribute to the development of a circular economy in research and teaching. The Institute for German and International Mining and Energy Law supports this orientation with research and teaching focuses on a sustainable and competitive energy and circular economy system. Research projects are often carried out on an interdisciplinary basis with economics and engineering.
The area of responsibility includes
- Participation in research and teaching with a focus on German and European energy and climate protection law as well as circular economy law
- Working on legal issues relating to the transformation of energy and raw materials supply
- Participation in interdisciplinary projects in the energy sector
Prerequisites are
- 1st or 2nd state examination in law or completed master's degree in law
- Understanding of commercial law
- Interest in interdisciplinary cooperation, especially with engineers and economists
- Very good German and, if possible, English language skills

Remuneration is based on the collective agreement for the public service of the federal states (TV-L). The TV-L provides for an annual special payment at the end of the year. In addition, we offer a separate supplementary pension scheme in the form of a company pension (VBL).
