Information sheet on Art. 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation:
Regarding Art. 13 para. 1 a) and b):
The Clausthal University of Technology, Adolph-Roemer-Str. 2a, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld, represented by the President, Dr.-Ing. Sylvia Schattauer, address ibid. is responsible for the collection and processing of personal data.

Regarding Art. 13 para. 1 c):
The collection of personal data is necessary to enable the acquisition and use of donations and sponsorship services (processing purpose) and is based either on your consent in the voluntary donation or the voluntary initiation and execution of the sponsorship contract (legal basis).
Regarding Art. 13 para. 1 e):
Personal data will be further processed and transmitted to other competent bodies as follows:
Administration: data that the administration collects from you is generally only processed by internal organizational units.
Tax authorities: The tax-relevant data relating to your donation will be forwarded to the tax office responsible for Clausthal University of Technology.
Preventing and combating corruption: On April 1, 2014, the state government of Lower Saxony adopted amendments to the directive on preventing and combating corruption in the state administration. According to these amendments, accepted sponsorship payments, donations, gifts and advertisements with a value of €1,000 or more must be published promptly on a corresponding portal in individual cases.
Re Art. 13 Para. 2 a):
The storage period of the data is 10 years for tax law reasons.
Re Art. 13 Para. 2 b):
The data subject has a right to information from Clausthal University of Technology about the personal data concerning him or her and, where applicable, to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of this data and a right to object to processing and any right to data portability.
Regarding Art. 13 para. 2 c):
If the data processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The data processing carried out up to that point remains lawful, the revocation only applies to the future. In this case, your data will be deleted immediately, provided that there are no legal obligations to the contrary.
Regarding Art. 13 para. 2 d):
The data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hanover, email: poststelle@lfd.niedersachsen.de.
Re Art. 13 para. 2 e):
The provision of data by you may be mandatory. You will be informed of this on a case-by-case basis.
