Further options

Those who have neither a school-based higher education entrance qualification nor a corresponding training or further education qualification may be able to benefit from the so-called subject-related higher education entrance qualification by examination. This is also known as the "Immaturenprüfung" or "Z-Prüfung" - if you pass this entrance examination, you can begin your studies in a chosen subject.

If you do not necessarily want to enrol for a degree course, but only want to attend certain courses (lectures, language courses, internships, etc.) offered by Clausthal University of Technology, you can enrol as a guest student.

You have to do the following:

1. Select a course from the entire range offered by the university. Click here for the course catalog.
2. Fill out theapplication for guest auditor status. Please note that you may only choose courses up to a maximum of 8 semester hours per week (SWS) in one semester.
3. Transfer the fee.
4. Hand in the application to the Student Secretariat.

The Student Secretariat will then issue the guest auditor's license, which you can then use to apply for a university account at the Computer Center
