If you have any questions about to the offered services you can get help from the Rechenzentrum via phone, mail and directly on the service desk.

Studens and employees of the university usualy should get all information for internet access (including WLAN, mail accounts etc.) at their registration. Nevertheless if you do not have an account for the IT services at TU Clausthal, you can request one here.

Internet Access

• Internet Access at home
  Broadband internet access (with at least 100Mbit) is available in all rooms of the residence halls in Clausthal.
• WiTUC - Wireless LAN at Clausthal University of Technology (CUT)
  In and around almost all buildings of the University a WLAN-Net can be used. Please follow the above link for more information regarding the use of WLAN. You will find a list of all WiTUC Hotspots on our Campus Site Map.
• Computer Pools
  As a CUT Student you have access to computing facilities. These so called “Computer Pools” which are provided by the Central Computing Support Services (Rechenzentrum) are equipped with black-and-white and color printers. Please note that the University Library offers a computer room, too.

  All members of the University are assigned an email account. At the link above you will find further information about using this email account. Please note that you have access to your email account via webmail interface from almost everywhere.
• Virtual private network
  Various services, i.e. the Login-Server and some search functions of the library, are only available within the University network. CUT offers a Virtual Private Network to those who want to have access to these services from outside, too.
• Newsgroups
